I wanted very much to post about the wonderful weekend I had, count all my blessings and share how grateful I was for everything that happened.  And I will, a little later on.  But an issue has come to the forefront that I’d like to share with yall.  It’s a difficult situation that has an impact on my life every day, and that includes my faith.

I have a condition called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, or PCOS.  It’s also referred to as PCOD, Stein-Leventhal syndrome, or sometimes just PCO.  It’s a disorder of the endocrine system, meaning it plays havoc with all your hormones, especially the female-specific ones like estrogen and progesterone.  This leads to a great many problems with the reproductive system.  Common symptoms of PCOS are obesity, hirsutism (having hair where you shouldn’t as a female; I and a great many women have to shave our faces every…
